Whew!
Andy asked me last night, "Are you ever going to update your blog again?" I guess that was a not so subtle hint that it has been awhile. But I have good reasons... I was sick, Andy was studying for a test every night and using the lap top, I have been putting in a lot of hours with work and Emily was transitioning to a toddler bed (and that is a whole separate post!)
So here is what we have been up to lately...
Emily's friend Lillie had a "princess" birthday party. We had so much fun! Lots of fun princess activities and yummy princess food. I haven't really introduced a lot of princess stuff to Emily, but she is slowly learning her princesses. It is so cute to hear her say "Cinderella." And yes, I even dressed Sarah up as a princess. She didn't know what to think about her fru-fru dress.
Emily was blowing bubbles with our neighbor one afternoon. She is 6 and Emily was COPYING everything she said and did. It was pretty funny!

Then we had fun St. Patrick's Party with our joyschool group. It was so cute and would have been more enjoyable if I didn't have a clingy 2 year old that just wanted me to hold her the entire time. Needless to say, I didn't get any cute pictures from the party. But Emily (and I) sure did enjoy did the green treats all day.

And since I have been putting in a lot of hours with work, there has been A LOT of TV watching. As you can see, Sarah is already TV junkie. I love this picture of these girls. Granted it would be cuter without all the toys, but that just wouldn't be realistic.

Let's just say...
... today was NOT a good day!
Does anyone need their keyboard cleaned?? Emily is a pro at taking them apart.

At the lake
So I wrote this last week and was very proud that I wrote it on the day it happened.... but then I never finished it and am just now posting it... it has been a rough week!
This was one of those days when I was so grateful that I am a stay at home mom. Despite the fact that NEITHER girl took a nap, we still had a fun day. We headed out to Shelley Lake with our play group to have a fun day of feeding the ducks, a picnic lunch, running with friends, playing on the playground and enjoying the beautiful weather.

While we were getting ready to head out to the lake, I told Emily we were going to feed the ducks bread. A little while later, she said, "No feed ducks bread. Feed ducks chicken nuggets." Funny girl!

Play Date with Aidan
Recently we went over to my friend Jennifer's house to play with Aidan. Jennifer and I used to work together at SECU. She still works there, but was out of work for a few days so we took advantage and got together. Of course, Emily liked all the "new" toys and going up and down the stairs. (Since we don't have stairs, they are always so much fun to her.)
At one point Emily and Aidan were sitting back to back playing. Emily started to push back against him and thought it was so funny. Anytime Aidan was sitting down, Emily would sit down behind him with her back against him and push. Emily would be reclining back laughing and poor Aidan would be crunched over to the floor.
It was nice to chatting with Jennifer too. I do miss all my old co-workers at SECU. It is sad not seeing them every day like I used to. However since Jennifer took my position when I left, I just smile when she starts talking about issues/problems/frustrations at work. Oh, I don't miss any of that!
