Oldie...

Fo my birthday last week my friends planned a girls night out! We had a fun dinner (complete with bad service and loud karaoke) and got in some shopping! Such a fun night! Thanks girls.
By the way, I am getting old!

Nature Walk

Last week we were without a car for 3 days. My van was getting some worked done (I guess I should post about that story eventually) and I have no idea how to drive a stick shift on Andy's mustang. I don't think the carseats would even fit in that backseat. So we were stuck at home for 3 days.

Since the weather was nice, we took a little nature walk around the pond. Of course, I took my camera to sanp a few pictures!

Shutterfly Holiday Cards

I will get my Christmas cards done on time… I will get my Christmas cards done on time…. I will get my Christmas cards done on time… And hopefully for free too!

Shutterfly.com is offering 50 free holiday cards to bloggers. Find out more here. I just love Shutterfly and great discounts make it even better.

Our outfits are almost complete… hopefully we can get a good picture this weekend and then I just need to narrow down a card. Right now, I like this one  and this one because they match our outfits…. And this one…. And this one because it just cute.  Oh, there are just too many cute ones to pick from. They have almost 500 designs, but I really like that you can narrow it down by size, number of photos and colors.
And while I at Shutterfly.com, I should probably start working on some photo books for the grandparents. Those are the best gifts for loved ones!

My Sarah!

I can't believe Sarah Baby is already 2!

Here are a few fun tidbits about her:

Sarah wakes up happy every morning. She will call out in a sing song voice, "Mommy (or Daddy), Where are you?" Usually Andy takes her downstairs to play while Emily and I (the non morning people) snuggle in bed watching cartoons

She loves to sing. Her favorite songs are "Wheels on the Bus," "Popcorn Popping" or Head, Shoulders,Knees and Toes." I have heard she really gets into Singing Time in her nursery class.

She loves talking on the phone and pulls the phone off my ear, so she can talk.

She is talking up a storm these days. She is saying lots of words and complete sentenances.

She can count to 5 and we have starting talking about letters with her.

She knows all her animals sounds, however she refers to a duck as "quack" and calls a horse "neigh" instead of the actual animal name.

She wants to do EVERYTHING Emily does.

She loves her big sister. The other day, Sarah and I were playing together upstairs and Emily called for Sarah to come downstairs. Sarah jumped up and ran downstairs and forgot all about me!

However if Emily makes her mad, Sarah doesn't hold back. She will run into Emily's room to mess everything up and then go running out as fast as she can!

She is very social and will say hey to everyone she sees and tries to look right into their eyes to get them to acknowledge her. She definitely wants more of my attention than Emily does and I think that is because Sarah is so much more social and needs the interaction.

She calls herself "WaWa." I try to get her to say Sarah instead, so I say SAARRRAAHHH really slow. She responds by saying "WWWAAAA WAAAAAA" really slow. Cracks me up!

She loves to ask "What's that?" and points to something. I tell her what it is and she just responds with "Oh." And she has some crazy double jointed pointer fingers. Ask her to show you because she loves to show them off.

We are not potty training yet, but I think we are getting close.

I only have a few complaints about Sarah... (I can complain about my own kids, right).
She does not do well at meals, no matter if we are at home or out. She won't stay in her seat. Nor does she like to stay in the stroller or gocery cart.
She has a MAJOR sweet tooth and has meltdowns if she can't have candy/cookies etc.
She hits and pulls hair.
Her hair is taking FOREVER to grow out.

Sarah is 2!!!

So there was an unfortunate incindent between our new min van and the side of our garage. I won't go into all the details. Since I was responsible, I felt I should earn the money to cover the cost of the repair. My  mom agreed to let me paint a few rooms in her house and Andy did some work in her yard, in return for the needed funds.

If I get a hold of my mom's camera, I will post some pictures of our fun visits at her house. Well, the girls had lots of fun while And and I worked.

The second visit there also happened to be Sarah's birthday!!! Since her birthday is on Veteran's Day, she gets to spend it with her Daddy and Nana since they are out of work.

She opened lots of presents!!

I think her favorite was this baby doll! She was so cute holding it and giving it a bottle. What a good little mommy!

She also got a Zhu Zhu pet (she calls it "Kitty") and a house for the Zhu Zhu pet.

She also got Toy Story 3 and toy that sings nursery rhymes.

Nana and Emily made and decorated a big cookie for her birthday!

Nana and the birthday princess!

Thanks for helping us celebrate Sarah's birthday, Nana and Larry!

Simon and Baby Claire

Emily has been friends with Simon since the day he was born (he was born just 4 months after her). Sadly, the Boneys moved further away last year, but she still loves Simon. His little sister Claire was just born, so we went to visit them. Emily and Simon gave each other the biggest hug we they saw each other and then quickly jumped into his tractor. Sarah hopped in the back seat.

Obviously Emily drives like her mother and she scrapped against the gate as they entered the fence! Sarah jumped out at that point.

Then Emily drove straight into the shed! This girl will NOT be getting a new car when she turns 16.

Simon figured it was time he got back into the driver seat.

And off they went!

Sarah went back and forth from playing outside with Simon and Emily and staying inside to cuddle with cute little Claire!

Then we went back for Claire's blessing. Emily and Simon were so cute sitting together at church. However I think Sarah and Emily will be fighting over Simon soon. Sarah and Simon were cute tickling and giggling with each other. Emily kept leaning over telling them to be quiet.
And our little baby girl can't wait to hang out with Claire in a few months!

Baby #3

I realized I never posted about our ultrasound on the blog. I made the announcement on Facebook, but here are a few pictures.

We went in a few weeks ago. Emily was very excited about seeing the baby on TV and finding out if it is a boy or girl...

It's a (another) Girl!

I love these pictures of her hands over her face. She was done with the ultrasound!

We were kind of thinking it was going to be a boy this time, but we are happy about another girl. I am one of 3 girls, so I think it is perfect. Andy is just happy he doesn't have to paint the nursery, however he is dreading all the weddings we will be paying for.  :)

Emily wanted another sister, so she is thrilled keeps asking if my belly is big enough for the baby yet.  Speaking of which, here is picture of my bump at 20 weeks!

Halloween (week)

I don't think I realized before I had kids that Halloween is actually a week long celebration, not just the one night of trick or treating. We had tons of fun parties and activties to get all dressed up for.

Joyschool Halloween Party

Sarah as a Flapper and Emily a Snow Princess!
Sarah is quite the social butterfly.
She loves to see her friends and always makes sure they see her. She likes to get in there face to say Hey.

We were a little late getting to the party because Emily likes to change her costumes right as we are about to get in the car. We missed the games, but we made it for the cookie decorating and food!

Costume Night at Dance Class

Emily was Belle this time. Her class has been learning a routine to "Ghost Busters." They performed it for the parents and it was so cute. Emily loves the part where they yell "Ghost Busters!!"

 Costumes at Chick Fil A

Usually after dance class, we eat dinner at Chick Fil A since it is close by and Kids' Night. This week they were have a costume party, so we ate there after dance class since we already had on the costumes!
They had some fun activities...
Face Painting

Photo Op with a pony

A cow dressed up as a princess! (emily loved this)

Painting pumpkins

And of course ice cream (Sarah's favorite)

Downtown Trick or Treating
Every year our town closes off Main Street for trick or treating on the Friday before Halloween. A lot of the store owners come out side to hand out candy. I think it is a cute tradition and I just love living in a small town.

At the town square, they had games and booths set up. The girls each got a cookie and then we headed home to get ready for our next Halloween party later that night.

Trunk or Treat
Friday night our ward had a trunk or treat and chili cookoff.  The boundaries for our ward recently changed, so it was our last activity with alot of the families. It was a little bittersweet, but it was a good time.

Buddies!!

I love the happy faces in this pic...and that Sarah is trying to get in on the hug. She loves Kaitlyn too!

FINALLY -- Trick or Treating!!!
These girls were so excited about trick or treating. After the trick or treating downtown and Trunk or treat, Sarah knew exactly what to do.
Emily, again, changed her costume at the last minute. I am not even sure what she was this time.

First we walked up our street, however most people just put bowls of candy on the doorstep, so Emily was getting a little anxious to say "Trick or Treat." So we headed over to the Helmer's neighborhood to meet up with Logan and Zoe.

These 2 little girls were quite a laugh. They took their own time walking behind us, chatting and eating candy the whole time.

This was the best we could for a group picture. Obvisously Sarah and Zoe had WAY TOO MUCH candy.

However this picture is PERFECT. I love it.
I think they look like they are 16!!! Oh no!
