Bahamas Cruise - Back on the ship

After Freeport, we were headed back home! We must have gone through the same rough waters as we did on the first night because the boat was really rocking side to side. Sometimes it was hard to just walk straight.... and no I wasn't drinking!

We spent most of the afternoon just basking in the sun... my favorite thing to do! Then we had a "Morris Family Putt Putt Tournament and Ping Pong Tournament!"

I am not sure who this guy is...

And finally... a group picture!
You don't know how hard it was to get this done, just about as hard as it is to get a group of 3 years old together! No offense!

Bahamas Cruise - Freeport

Sunday we docked in Freeport. The actual part where we docked wasn't very pretty. It was very industrial, so we took a taxi to the shopping and beach. The beach was gorgeous... white sand and crystal clear water. We only had a few hours in Freeport, so we laid out on the beach and then hit some shops. Once again, we saved money by finding our own taxi. It was just $10 opposed to the "beach and shopping" excursion the cruise ship offered for $59!!!

Bahamas Cruise - Nassau

On Saturday, we docked in Nassau, Bahamas. We got off the ship and did some shopping at the strawmarket and other shops and got a few souvenirs. Then we did a little sightseeing, however there wasn't much to see.... except for the crystal clear water!!! It was beautiful!

That afternoon we went on a snorkeling tour. We had thought about doing an excursion through the cruise ship, but ended up finding a booth in Nassua offering snorkeling trips for half the price. Turns out it was the same company the cruise ships uses... yay for a good deal!
Our entertaning tour guides took us for a boat ride through the Nassau pointing out the interesting points and celebrity homes.

We got off the boat and had 2 hours to snorkel. The water was so clear and the fish were beautiful. The highlight was seeing an eel!

Yes, we are "snorkel kissing!"

On the way back to the ship, we were able to catch a beautiful sunset.

After snorkeling, we stopped for a few photo ops and then headed back to the ship!

We could not have asked for a better day in Nassau. The weather was perfect and the snorkeling trip was a wonderful experience. So much fun!

Bahamas Cruise - On the ship

Andy's family all got together for a cruise to Bahamas last week! Andy's parents treated all of us, so it was very nice vacation. I was a little nervous about leaving the kids behind, but I left them in the hands of my awesome sister, Ashley and my mom. They did great and had a wonderful time with their cousins. Thanks so much Ashley, Chuck, Nana and Aunt Barbara for looking after the girls. It was definitely a real vacation to not have to worry about the kids! You guys are the best! To read about the girls fun with their cousins, click here!

The cruise went out of Jacksonville, FL. So we drove down a day early and stayed the night with my college roomie, Courtney. Her hubbie was out of town, but it was so nice to spend time with her and her girls. They are just adorable! I wished my girls had been there to play with them... maybe next time.

Thursay morning we got on the ship! It was amazing to see how big a cruise ship really is. It was huge!

Here is a pic from the inside of our ship and a look into our room.

Every night we did dinner and then went to the show. The shows weren't spectacular, but they were pretty funny sometimes.

Friday - Day at Sea: Ate breakfast, walked a mile on the track, went to a fitness seminar, laid out on the deck and then ate lunch. During lunch Andy told me I had a massage in 30 mins. Say what??! Naturally, I didn't believe him since he is so cheap! However after 20 mins of going back and forth, he finallyy gave me the appointment card and I ran down to the spa. It was a 50 min massage and 25 min facial. The massage was awesome! It felt so good. It was very relaxing and I almost fell asleep since the ship was rocking me back and forth. Pure heaven! Thanks for the birthday present!
After that we hung out by the pool and went down the slide a few times. Andy and I were like kids going up and down the slide over and over again. :)

That night was the Captain's Dinner. We got all dressed up and enjoying a yummy dinner and show.

The whole family dressed in their finest!
