In the Kitchen

Sarah's new favorite activity is pushing the kitchen chairs over to the counters and just standing there trying to get into everything. UGH!
I spend all day telling her to get down... she doesn't listen very well. Now I just give her things to do, like emptying the silverware basket into the drawer (she doesn't separate the utensils very well though) or give her containers to play with. I have also introduced her to baking (not that I am a very advanced baker), but she loves it. Emily has also enjoyed it too.
Really they just love licking the beaters!

Buddies

What could be more fun than playing in water on a hot summer day??!

Playing with friends, of course!

(Please ignore the bare spots in the yard, we are working on them....well, Andy is working on them)
I love that I have many friends on the same "schedule," so all our kids are in the same age. Logan is 3 days older than Emily and Sarah is 3 weeks older than Zoe.

Sarah and Zoe actually play together more than the other 2. They were already sitting on the stair "chatting" when I took their picture.

Party time!

We went to 2 fun birthday parties the other weekend. The first one was for Emily's friend, Lily. It was a princess party, of course. The decorated crowns and then Jaime read the Princess and the Pea story. The kids then got to lay on Lily's bed to see if they could feel the pea under the mattress. They thought that was pretty funny. If they felt the pea, they got to sit in the royal chair. So cute!

Jaime also read Sleeping Beauty and they got to slay the dragon. They also went on a hunt for magic eggs and played a few other games... and we had a yummy, yummy dinner.

Emily loved all the fun activities and especially loved her treat bag full of candy and "magic" jewels. I just love that I have little girl that loves princesses, fairies and everything magical.

Then we went to a surprise 30th birthday party for Leah. Her husband really pulled off a good surprise party... with the help of a few people. :)

3 friends from our church have formed and band and they played for us. It was great seeing their talent.

Such a fun night with friends... and without the kids! :)

Olivia (the Pig)

Every week we go to storytime at Barnes and Noble. One week we realized that OLIVIA would be coming to the next storytime! For those that don't know, Olivia is a little girl pig that has a TV show and books. On the way there Emily said, "Mom, how is Olivia going to get out of the TV and into the mall?" I replied with "Magic", which is what I always say when I can't explain it.
She said, "No, I think she is going to jump!"

Sarah anxiously awaiting Olivia's arrival. However I don't think she realized a 6 foot pig was getting ready to walk into the room. When she did realize it, she freaked out!

Olivia!

Getting a hug!

Poor Sarah was shaking during this picture. (She feels the same way about the Chick Fil a cow)
