Ashley and girls

Ashley and her girls came down the week after Easter during Leland's Spring Break. As usual, the cousins had a great time together!

Game of Keep Away

Reading with Nana

Dance Party

Fashion Show

Baby Charlotte

As you can see, Sarah was a little "too friendly" with Charlotte. I think she enjoyed not being the youngest one anymore. Her new favorite word that week was "baby." Hopefully one day Charlotte will forgive her and they can become buddies too!

Fountain of Bubbles

The girls and I spend a lot of time outside doing bubbles and chalk. One afternoon, I was in the garage getting something while the girls were outside and came out to see Sarah dumping a bottle of bubbles in our fountain. OH NO! As you can imagine, we had a fountain full of sudsy bubbles in no time. The bubbles kept coming and coming. And the laughter kept coming and coming from the girls. They loved it and must have played there for over an hour.

I eventually tried to clean it out and dump out the water, but the bubbles returned once I put more water back in the fountain. I finally gave up and Andy cleaned it out once he got home. He was a little worried the pump would get stopped up, so I have to keep a closer eye on that Sarah!
These aren't from the actual day, but you get the picture...
I wonder who knocked the top of the landscape light...SARAH!

Easter 2010

Finally, I am posting about Easter!
Since we didn't have our usual Church services because of General Conference, we spent Easter enjoying a nice day around the house.
The Easter Bunny left baskets for the girls and hid eggs around the house.

We had a nice dinner.... if I do say so myself!

Then enjoyed some time playing with the bubble guns the Easter Bunny left.

And of course, we were able to watch General Conference and hear some insipring words, which made the day PERFECT!

Dying Eggs

The day before Easter we had a lot of fun dying Easter eggs.

We didn't have any of those kits, so are eggs are a little boring. However I did stock up on some kits in the after Easter sales for next year.

Easter Egg Hunt #3

Our town had a really nice Easter egg hunt for just kids 5 and under. They had 3 baseball fields filled with easter eggs. We took Sarah into Emily's age group, so we could get pictures of both of them.
Waiting for the hunt to start!

Get Ready...

Get Set...

Go!

My Sarah Baby!

Check out all the eggs in those baskets!

The Easter Bunny showed up after the hunt... on a fire truck! Poor Emily hates loud noises, so she was not happy about the sirens, but calmed down in time to get a hug.

I don't think the Easter Bunny could really see because he was smothering her face!

B-E-A-C-H

After a weekend at my mom's, the girls and I headed down to the beach to stay with my dad and Layni for a few nights. The water was way too cold to swim in, but it we had fun just hanging out on the beach.

I love the picture of Sarah so concerned about the sand stuck to her hands.

For some reason, Layni and Emily were quite entertained with the mop and broom on the back porch.

The second day on the beach, I brought out a few utensils from the kitchen in the beach house for the girls to dig with. I know it is ghetto, but it was much more peaceful than trying to share 1 shovel.

I think my dad was really embarrassed about the kitchen utensils, but he didn't have any room to talk considering....

.... he was bundled up under multiple towels on the beach. I guess he has "thin skin" and couldn't handle the chilly wind off the ocean. :)

The best part of the trip was spending time with Grandad. See him texting on the beach.... I think he texts more than I do!

Art Festival

So after the Princess Party and after the Easter Egg Hunt, we went to ECU for a Kids Art Festival. Yes, we did all that in 1 day! The kids had a lot of fun and I think Emily was in heaven. They had a ton of tables set up with a different craft at each table. They also had a bounce house and a band playing music.

Trying out the violins

Don't you love Emily's yoga moves (bottom left)?? She was actually pretty good.

Emily was so funny dancing around with her tissue flower without a care in the world. I didn't have my video camera, so I just took a bunch of pictures. I think you get the point.

I saw a shirt at Gymboree that said "I Love to Twirl." I think that is Emily's motto.

What a fun day... with cousins!
