Celebrating

To celebrate Emily's big 3rd birthday... we tried to make it a special day for her.

We made cupcakes! She wanted red cupcakes, you know, "like the color of Ariel's hair." Unfortunately, I ran out of red dye. But Emily was still happy because they turned out like Pinkalicous!

We opened presents... clothes, leotard and dance skirt, book, bowls and utensils for her kitchen.

We out to eat at a Japanese Steak House. She was not quite so sure of the fire, but she really did not like the fake soy sauce squirted in her direction. Lots of tears, but she recovered well.

Then we blew out the candles and ate the cupcakes!

And to top it all off, we have a birthday party with friends this weekend because you are only 3 once!

And for the record... I know it looks like Emily has a lazy eye in every picture, but I have taken her to the eye doctor and he says there is nothing to worry about. Nobody else may have noticed it in the pictures, however I am sure my mother did, so this is for her!
