One Saturday morning, we went to visit a miniature horse farm nearby. Emily talks a lot about horses and ponies, so I thought getting her close to miniature horses would be fun for her. (She would freak out around an actual large horse, I am sure).
She was happy petting the horses, but would back away when they would turn their head in her direction. She did not enjoy looking the horses eye to eye
This is actually a donkey in the picture
By the way, we learned lots of things we did not know, such as the difference between donkeys and mules. Not something I knew before. We also learned it is not a smart idea to wear flip flops to a horse farm, duh! And our friend Jaime learned it doesn't feel so good to get kicked in the thigh by a miniture horse. Ouch!
The baby horses were really cute and started putting on a show for us. They were running all around us and kicking their back legs up. It was fun to watch.
She kept saying she wanted to ride one, so I think we will try the pony rides this year at the fair.
