Weekend Fun

We had a fun weekend with my little sister Layni. She stayed with us while my dad and Leslie were enjoying a weekend at a spa. We were hoping to go to the pool, but it was a little too chilly and the water was too cold. We decided to go to Pullen Park instead. The girls had a lot of fun riding the carousal and train and playing on the equipment. Then we went out to dinner to Lonestar. Our meal was really good, however Emily was not. She just wanted to walk around the whole time. Somehow we managed and I think she even ate some food. Sunday at church Emily was still a little unruly and Andy spent most of the service out in the hall with her. She did well in nursery until she feel asleep. Emily never falls asleep outside her crib or carseat, however she just fell out while sitting on the leader's lap. Of course she woke right up when they brought her to Andy. She has been trying to keep up with Layni all weekend and I think that wore her out. She loved having Layni around and they were pretty good about sharing toys. As usual, they only wanted a toy when the other one picked it up. Here are some pictures from the park:

Today we went over the Boney's for a cook out. Simon and Emily played in the pool and then chased each other around the house. They are good buddies and love playing with each other.

In other news, Andy got called as the 2nd counselor in the Elder's Quorom presidency. The Elder's Quorom is a organization of men in our church. Their primary responsibility is take care of the the spiritual and physical needs of the members. Usually, there is a lot of work and time that goes into this assignment but Andy is willing, however he will miss working with the young men/scouts.

Cute pictures! Looks like you had a fun time with Layni. Emily looks so cute. She is a like little girl now and not a baby anymore.

Good luck to you and Andy as he undertakes this new church calling. We'll be rooting for him...and for you. Hey, at least he'll still be sitting with you in the congregation. We're looking forward to the completion of the new ward building. Then, we can bump into you guys more often.
